Today Americans face a problem that we have yet to truly face before. Past actions have put us into a very uncomfortable financial situation. Though we have come through similar trials before, this time we are in a much bigger hole. The federal govt. has found it in a precarious situation, not only has it run out of the funds necessary to maintain itself, but it is 14+ trillion dollars in the hole. That is a lot of money, and the government can't continue to do this, and positive action must be taken soon.
Can you imagine trying to pay of a 14 trillion dollar credit card bill? It is difficult to grasp. But unfortunately that is the reality of our country's problem. Government spending has created a bill so large that not only will we be paying it off for the rest of our lifetimes, but our children and grandchildren will be doing the same, that is of course we can figure something out, and quickly.
